03. Application Guide - Hound - 11-24-2025 How to create a character
Information on Application SectionsBASICSAll information under “Basics” is required, though there are some details that are not; among these details, characters don’t need to have middle names, and birth years are not required. Nowhere is LGBTQ+ friendly, and no limitations are placed on genders or pronouns. However, please be aware that HRT may not be readily available in game.
Most importantly, characters must be at least 18 years old. The inclusion of children NPCs is strongly discouraged, though children can be referenced in histories. Remember, minor SA is banned and cannot be included in histories. SPECIALTIESIn place of occupations, characters will have specialties. A specialty is defined as a skillset such as hunting or fishing that can aid a character in survival, though more obscure and creative specialties are welcomed. Each character is limited to one specialty upon creation. Through roleplaying and participating in site events, additional specialties can be earned.
BELONGINGSCharacters are limited to three carry-on items, not including the bag to carry them. Examples of items can include a sleeping bag, weapons, or books on survival topics. There are no restrictions on what items can be carried, as the type of item can define your character as well as support their specialty. Additional item slots can be earned, though always be mindful of how a character can be weighed down by items.
APPEARANCEAll face claims must be over the age of 18. This also includes what age they were when photographed, meaning all images on site must be of the claim as a legal adult.
Eye colors must be realistic. A character’s “build” can be short form, with just a quick description of their body type. Long form appearances are not required, but can be included if you wish. CHARACTERISTICSPersonalities must be at least 150 words in length. Aim for as well rounded as possible, and try to avoid the stereotypical perfect characters. To help, strengths and weaknesses are required. Please include at least three traits for each.
BACKGROUNDHistories must be at least 100 words in length. If your character is in a faction, it is recommended to include how they came to be within that faction, and how they achieved their rank. Remember to use “Faction Rosters and Rank Claims”.
